New York Giants: Embracing Change and Progress in the 2023 Offseason

The New York Giants kicked off their third of 10 OTA practices, providing valuable insights into the team's progress and player development. Notably, Quarterback Daniel Jones has been seen going deep to Waller and Darius Slayton, indicating a promising start to the team's offensive strategy.  Jones has quickly developed a connection with tight end Darren Waller, who was acquired in a March trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. Waller, known for his impressive performance in previous seasons, is expected to bring a new dynamic to the Giants' offense.

One question that remains is what will happen with running back Saquon Barkely. Staying healthy for the duration, Barkley was able to emerge as the best running back last season, totaling over 1300 yards on the ground and 10 touchdowns. He was a threat in the receiving game as well, which helped lift up the Giants' offense. He has indicated that he will not play under the franchise tag and a deal has still yet to be done.

The Giants are in a good spot to continue to build on what they did last season. They shocked everyone by winning 9 games and making the playoffs. Once they got in, though, they stayed focused and went on to defeat a 13-win Vikings team on the road on Wild Card weekend. If Daniel Jones can continue to improve, this team could definitely make even more noise than they did last year.
