Top 3 Landing Spots for DeAndre Hopkins

About a week ago the Arizona Cardinals made the decision to release wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins as part of a rebuild that is happening in Arizona. Now without a team, here are my thoughts on the best destinations for this star wide receiver to land with.

3. Kansas City Chiefs: DeAndre Hopkins has made it clear that he wants to play with an elite quarterback, and who else would be better than the best quarterback in the league, Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs are one of the best teams in the NFL and are hoping to continue their run of dominance through the AFC again this year. Outside of Travis Kelce, the Chiefs lack a clear second playmaker and Hopkins would be able to provide that extra dimension to this offense. It would be a lot of fun to see one of the greatest receivers of the last 10 years team up with an all-time great quarterback.

2. Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens have made a lot of improvements to their offense throughout the season, and that starts with the signing of Odell Beckham JR. Odell looked great in his last stretch of games with the Rams and played a major role in helping them win a Super Bowl. The Ravens also grabbed Zay Flowers from Boston College in the first round, who will be Odell's sidekick. However, Hopkins would still be a great fit for this team. With all these weapons on offense, Hopkins could take advantage of the single coverage matchups and be able to exploit teams. He would also be playing with one of the most talented quarterbacks of this generation, Lamar Jackson, and could even help get back to his MVP-like numbers in 2019.

1. Buffalo Bills: Without a doubt I think the best landing place for Hopkins would be the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have been lacking that extra playmaker in their offense over the past few seasons, and it showed in the big moments. When you take Diggs away and contain Davis, Buffalo’s passing offense is very below average. Having DeAndre Hopkins in this lineup would allow him, Diggs, and Davis the ability to create those 1 on 1 matchups where they can shine. Josh Allen has proven over the last few seasons that he is an elite quarterback and is very good at a lot of things. The Bills are still in search of the missing piece to get them over the hump, and DeAndre Hopkins just may be the one to provide that spark.
